After a busy day in Washington, D.C., Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa flew to London and extolled the Trump administration's proposed rollbacks on vehicle emission regulations, saying the policy change makes a turnaround easier for the struggling automaker.
On Wednesday, Dec. 3, Filosa stood behind President Donald Trump in the oval office as Trump and his team — including other conservative politicos like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy — proposed significant slashes to emission limits on vehicles. The proposal, which Trump promised would make U.S. auto manufacturers more profitable, is not yet law. It must undergo a public comment period before being finalized.
