BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — A suspect is recovering after reportedly exchanging shots with Bloomington police officers late Wednesday.
Bloomington police say the incident began around 10:30 p.m. when a squad on patrol spotted a wrong-way driver near Old Shakopee Road and Killebrew Drive. Officers attempted to pull the suspect over, but say he wouldn't stop. The vehicle was eventually disabled when police used a PIT maneuver.
Police say officers on the scene ordered the man to exit the vehicle, but he refused to follow their orders.
At that point, they fired pepperballs at the vehicle, and then reported hearing gunshots from the suspect vehicle. Officers returned fire, and the man was taken into custody. An ambulance transported the suspect to HCMC with a reported hand injury. No officers were
