FREEPORT, Ill. — A local man was arrested after police searched multiple homes and found firearms and illegal substances.
On Wednesday, Freeport Police officers, Stephenson County Sheriffs, and members of the ISP Stateline Area Narcotics team used search warrants at homes in the 700 block of E. Stephenson Street, 800 block of S. Carroll Avenue, and the 400 block of W. Chestnut Street.
While searching these residences, officers found three firearms, about 3.5 pounds of what they believe is cannabis, and just over 900 grams of what they think is cocaine.
As a result of the search warrants, 46-year-old Kyle Shirley of Freeport was arrested and taken to Stephenson County Jail.
