KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Merryman Performing Arts Center is helping give children the opportunity to experience the arts with funding from “Give Where You Live.”
This year, the organization is looking to help 4,000 area elementary school students, who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the arts.
The funding will also go toward upgrades to lighting and upkeep of the nearly 100-year-old facility.
Executive Director Denise Christensen said helping disadvantaged children is important because the center wants to be inclusive to everyone in the community and build memories for families.
