The peace of a Spokane morning was nearly shattered in 2011, when a man placed a bomb along the route of Spokane's MLK Day Parade.

Fortunately, someone saw it before it could detonate, likely saving countless lives.

That was just the beginning of a trail of clues that led investigators to a man they say was a white supremacist who hated the multicultural message of the parade.

On the next episode of our true crime series 509's Most Notorious Crimes, we take you back to that day and the chaos that followed.

We also show the small clues that led to a major break in the case.
