What should have been the most exciting week of a new parent's life turned into terror for Alice and Adam Wray after their first child was rushed into critical care and hooked up to a life-support machine. New mum Alice, 29, experienced a normal pregnancy, and said there was nothing to suggest her daughter, Orla Wray, was experiencing any complications .

Orla was born in April 2024 and aged just one week old she was taken into intensive care after "turning blue." There, doctors discovered she had a deadly heart condition.

Alice told the ECHO how her pregnancy was "pretty straight forward" and there was no concerns over her unborn child's health. She said: "She was measuring small but nurses had no concerns
