A woman has been banned from keeping animals for 10 years after two severely underweight dogs were discovered in her home, one of which later had to be put to sleep.

Danielle Southern, 30, of Saunby Close, Garston , appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 20 after pleading guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. She was handed an 18-month community order, including 20 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, and ordered to pay £500 costs.
