SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Sioux City (and other parts of Siouxland as well) woke up to record lows Thursday morning as the Sioux Gateway Airport saw a low of –10 degrees. The old record low was –9 degrees set in 1978.

Skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will not be nearly as cold. In fact, those temperatures will remain pretty steady through the night in the upper teens with a south wind strongest early at 10 to 20 mph then settling to about 5 to 15 mph later in the night.
Friday’s Forecast
Friday will give us a mixture of sun and clouds with maybe even a chance of a few sprinkles or flurries moving across the region with highs warming up nicely into the mid 30s with a west wind at 10 to 15 mph.
