WASHINGTON — Several Kentucky lawmakers on Capito Hill are pushing back against the Trump administration’s use of deadly missile strikes against alleged Venezuelan drug smuggling boats.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Crescent Springs, has joined Democrats on a resolution meant to rein in the Trump administration’s policy..

It directs the president to “remove the use of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against Venezuela, unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific statutory authorization for use of military force.”
