MANCHESTER, N.H. —
New Hampshire is trying to crack down on robocalls and phone scammers as part of a national effort to protect phone systems from bad actors overseas.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is targeting companies that own the phone systems to do more to prevent scams.
Robocalls and scams seem to be increasingly common.
"I have a business, and I have a Google page, and so I just get them nonstop," said Sean Booker, of Plymouth.

According to data collected by the state, four companies allowed billions of robocalls over three to four years.
