A State Police trooper from Plympton has been suspended after he was arrested last week and charged with domestic assault and battery on a child resulting in injury, according to police and court records.
Michael G. Gagnon Jr. pleaded not guilty at his Nov. 26 arraignment in Plymouth District Court and was released after posting $1,000 bail, according to court records.
He was arrested at his home on Nov. 25 without incident after an investigation by the Plymouth district attorney’s office, the state’s department of Children and Families, and the Plympton Police Department, police said.
Gagnon’s attorney, Daniel Moynihan, said his client “wholeheartedly denies that there was any assault on any member of his family.” He added that Gagnon is going through an “acrimonious divorce.”
