A 79-year-old woman was seriously injured Wednesday evening after she was struck by a vehicle operated by a food delivery driver in Littleton, police said.
At around 7:00 p.m., emergency services responded to the intersection of King and Goldsmith streets, the Littleton Police Department said in a statement.
A preliminary investigation determined the woman was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck, but police are still investigating, the statement said.
The woman, from Acton, was taken to a hospital, officials said. Her condition was not known.
The driver, remained on the scene and cooperated with police, the statement said.
Police encourage drivers to avoid the area Wednesday evening.
