A man pushed a woman onto a set of Green Line tracks at North Station on Thursday, police said.
The woman was pushed from behind “by an unknown male,” according to Richard Sullivan, superintendent of the MBTA Transit Police.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. in an area where the platform and train tracks are on one level with no pit, Sullivan said.
The woman complained of shoulder pain but was otherwise not injured, Sullivan said.
“She was never in danger of being struck by a train,” Sullivan said.
Authorities believe the man who pushed her is homeless and frequents the North Station area, Sullivan said.
No further information was immediately released.
