SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A lawsuit filed against the Chartiers Valley School District alleges that the district allowed an 8-year-old girl to be sexually harassed and assaulted by a classmate, despite her parents' complaints.
The lawsuit, filed by attorney Amy Mathieu, claims that after the third-grader reported harassment to school officials, it not only continued but progressed to assault. According to court papers, the school moved the male student to a different homeroom but allowed them to continue sharing lunch, a bus, and indoor recess, where the assaults allegedly took place, followed by threats.
