BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Following last year’s 42-15 loss in the TAPPS Division IV state championship game, it was very apparent that Brazos Christian did not have the type of athletes that Dallas First Baptist had.
Brazos Christian will get its rematch when the Eagles take on Dallas First Baptist in the state title game for the second straight year on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium.
“Their athletes are different,” Brazos Christian head coach Jordan Black said on having new teams this year in the rematch. “They still have athletes, though. And we’re different too. We have a new quarterback. Hopefully, the game goes a little bit differently as well.”
Jordan Black wasn’t even the Eagles’ head coach a year ago when these two teams played for a state championship.
