PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police have shut down a neighborhood intersection in south Phoenix on Thursday evening due to an investigation.

Police were called out to the area of Third Street and Sunland Avenue , which is north of Southern Avenue.

We’ve reached out to the Phoenix Police Department for information on why they are out there.

Video from Arizona’s Family news chopper showed more than a dozen of marked police cars and SUVs in the area with their lights on. Crime tape was put up and blocked off the intersection.
