A Connecticut teen became the third suspect arrested in connection to a South End ‘street takeover’ in October during which a police cruiser was set on fire, Boston Police announced Thursday.
“You can’t come to Boston and think you’re going to be be involved in criminal behavior and it’s going to be tolerated,” said Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Phil Owens. “Do not do it. You’ll be held accountable, and this is a perfect example of people being held accountable.”
David Antonio Moran, also known as David Moran-Chavez, 19, was arrested in his home town of Norwalk, Connecticut, early Thursday morning, police said. Moran faces charges of burning of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of fireworks, disturbing the peace, and conspiracy in relation to the street takeover on Oct. 5.
