Miami University football players Jackson Kuwatch and Silas Walters have maintained a strong friendship from their days at Lakota West High School to their current success as redshirt seniors on the RedHawks' defense.
Their friendship began in 2019 at Lakota West High School, when Jackson transferred in his junior season, immediately making an impact on Silas. Advertisement
"Our defensive coordinator gave me a hard time. He was like, look at him he’s what you want to be. So he started calling him Big Si," Walters said.
Big Si and Si quickly built a bond and helped lead the Firebirds to the 2020 regional finals.
"We played well together. It was a good group of guys. There was a lot of talent on that team too," Kuwatch said.
