CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Avon Eagles are Division II champions again, and for the second straight year it comes at the expense of the Cincinnati Anderson Raptors.
Avon jumped on Anderson, breaking out to a quick 14-0 lead, eventually pushing it to 21-0. They took a 27-7 lead into the half before cruising to a 17 point win.
Blake Elder threw four touchdown passes in the win.
Last season Avon defeated Anderson 20-13 to win their first football title in school history.
