SALISBURY — Former Salisbury High running back Jamal Rule has signed with Nebraska.

He’s been a Huskers’ commit for a long time.

Rule played his freshman and sophomore seasons for the Salisbury Hornets.

He played mostly defensive back as a freshman, although he showed his vast potential in a couple of games as the featured back when starter JyMikkah Wells was injured.

As a sophomore, Rule was the focal point of the Hornets’ offense and was Rowan County Offensive Player of the Year. He produced the biggest rushing season in school history with 2,712 yards.
