At its meeting on Tuesday, December 2, the Board of Health continued its discussion about the board’s role in protecting the town’s drinking water resources and how it fits within the broader structure of town government.
In an effort to foster better communication with other departments, board members had previously asked Health Agent Scott A. McGann to invite Water Superintendent Matthew Lanen to a future meeting for an open conversation. The request was originally made at the board’s November 10 meeting.
McGann reported Tuesday that Lanen is unavailable for the foreseeable future because of scheduling conflicts. However, Lanen asked the board to provide a list of questions and topics he can prepare to address once he is able to attend.
