District 7 champion Clairton captured the PIAA Class 1A championship Thursday afternoon with a 35-3 victory over Bishop Guilfoyle at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Field.
It was a fifth state title for Clairton, which won four straight from 2009-12.

Wayne Wade Jr. started coaching at Clairton in 1996 as an assistant. Wade took over as head coach in 2016.
