ORCHARD PARK - Coach Sean McDermott knew there was no need to sugarcoat the situation the Buffalo Bills find themselves in as the calendar flips to December and the sprint to the postseason is in full flight.
Over the previous two months the Bills have been a maddeningly inconsistent team as they have gone 4-4 since their perfect 4-0 September, and McDermott made it perfectly clear that the time is nigh for the Bills to get on a roll.
“Our backs are against the wall,” McDermott said. “That’s the way it is, and that’s our mindset. So I think we’re all aware of (the lose, win, lose, win spell they’ve been in), but there’s no time for that right now. We’ve got to go.”
