All flights out of Edinburgh Airport have been grounded this morning due to a major IT outage. ‌

Scotland's busiest airport took to social media to say that no flights are currently operating due to an issue with air traffic control. ‌

Passengers have been advised to contact their airline for the lastest information on their flight. ‌

Edinburgh Airport has said that team are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

A spokesman for Edinburgh Airport said: "Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport.

"Teams are working on the issue and aim to resolve as soon as possible. ‌

"Passengers should contact their airline for the latest information on their flight."
