A family in Tullahoma is mourning the loss of a child and her grandfather in a dog attack.

Coffee County Sheriff’s officials say the infant was mauled inside a home by at least seven dogs on Wednesday.

Then her 50 year old grandfather was killed trying to save her.

Authorities say one of the dogs charged them and was shot.

The others were taken by animal control.

Officials are investigating who owned the dogs and if any of them had a history of aggression.

No criminal charges have been filed at this point.
