PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a dispute between neighbors turned deadly in the city's Kensington section early Friday morning.

It happened at 4:20 a.m. on the 2800 block of Hope Street.

Investigators say a 60-year-old man was shot and killed in the doorway of his apartment following an argument between residents.

Police say there were several witnesses to the killing and they were able to take one person into custody nearby at 2nd Street and Lehigh Avenue.

That individual is cooperating with authorities as they continue to investigate.

Police have not released the identity of the man killed.
