ANN ARBOR — Yaxel Lendeborg watched all three “High School Musical” movies Wednesday and felt a connection with one particular song: “The Boys Are Back.”*

It’s how he will feel Saturday when he and his Michigan basketball teammates finally return to the court after a 10-day break. The Wolverines open Big Ten play at home against Rutgers (4:08 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network).

*Lendeborg said “High School Musical 2” is his favorite even though the original has better songs and that the third film, in which the aforementioned song appears, is certainly the worst.
