BURNSVILLE, Minn. — A well-known Twin Cities musician and his wife were taken to the hospital Friday morning after a fire at a Burnsville apartment building.

Burnsville fire officials on the scene said the flames began in a third-floor unit at the Willoway Apartments around 1:30 a.m. Friday. A neighbor spotted the fire and called 911.

A KARE 11 photographer saw Alexander O'Neal getting loaded into an ambulance. A neighbor confirmed that Alexander's wife, Cynthia O'Neal, was also transported to a hospital via ambulance.

The conditions of the O'Neals following the fire have not been updated. A bus was brought in for displaced neighbors to stay warm while firefighters searched the building.

At this time, there is no word on a cause for the fire or how many people have been impacted.
