DETROIT -- There was a lot of doom and gloom surrounding the Detroit Lions for the last week.

After suffering a Thanksgiving loss that dented their playoff hopes, the pressure was turned all the way up.

Since then, they watched Frank Ragnow unretire, then fail his physical. Ragnow seemed like the answer to a lot of problems. But he was gone just as quickly as he was back . Also, cornerback Terrion Arnold was lost for the year due to shoulder surgery . And All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph’s knee injury continues to linger, with uncertainty remaining after his latest update .

And the Dallas Cowboys were on fire, winning three straight, and for much of the week, it looked like Detroit would be without Amon-Ra St. Brown.
