Changing schools in the middle of high school can be challenging.
But Raegan Zaemann, it went swimmingly.
“I was like really stressed out about it and everything,” Zaemann said of her transition to Columbia River after spending her freshman year at Seton Catholic. “And from the swimming aspect, I was kind of worried that the other people wouldn’t really like me coming in.
“But they were great, and I really appreciated it. I really think the transition went really smooth.”
With Raegan Zaemann, along with her older sister Jordan, on the team, Columbia River had its best finish at the 2A state meet, placing third in the team standings.
Both Zaemanns helped River to a runner-up finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay and third place in the 200 medley relay.
