Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has revealed that Sammie Szmodics could make his injury return in tomorrow's home match against Coventry City.
The 30-year-old forward underwent minor knee surgery after coming off in the 1-0 home win against West Brom back on October 25 and has subsequently missed the last seven games.
Asked if the attacker could be involved tomorrow, McKenna replied: "Yes! I was debating whether to keep everything under wraps, but you've got me in a truth moment.
"When it's a meniscus, it can either be a quick one, where they just remove the damaged cartilage, or it takes a bit longer if it's a repair. His was a really simple operation.
"He's been through the right processes, trained with the group this week and is ready for some sort of involvement tomorrow."
