The cost of crossing the Ambassador Bridge is increasing again next year — and will be more than double the rate of a decade ago.
Starting Jan. 1, the bridge company is hiking the cost of a one-way trip for autos, buses, and motorcycles from $12 to $14. If you’re paying with American cash or credit card, the price will increase from US$9 to US$10.
The price for passenger vehicles and motorcycles pulling a trailer will jump from $24 to $28 (or US$18 to US$20).
The toll rate for commercial vehicles will increase from US$14 to US$15 per axle for those with an A-Pass or E-Z Pass. For those without an account, the toll is US$20 per axle. The Ambassador Bridge’s escort service for wide or oversized loads will also increase from US$125 to US$135.
