The Penn State Nittany Lions' search for a new head coach rages on. Months after the team fired longtime head coach James Franklin, just six games after the team's College Football Playoff appearance, Penn State's search remains ongoing.

The team has reportedly been rejected by a number of high-profile head coaching candidates like Indiana's Curt Cignetti, Nebraska's Matt Rhule, Tennessee's Josh Heupel and Louisville's Jeff Brohm. In fact, many of the candidates linked at one point to the Penn State job have received massive contract extensions to remain at their current program.

Earlier this week BYU head coach Kalani Sitake joined the growing list of coaches to reject Penn State, leaving the Nittany Lions with dwindling options.
