Jodie Foster has revealed details of a horrific childhood memory involving her childhood dog that changed her life.

Before leaving for France to attend the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Taxi Driver in 1976, Foster, now 63, told AARP magazine that her puppy died in a tragic accident that haunted her during her early years.

“My puppy, he was a little guy,” she told the outlet in a recent interview, “went careening down these very slick steps and hit a wall. His whole skull exploded into blood right in front of me.”
