WASHINGTON — The 2026 World Cup draw is setting the stage for next year's soccer tournament across North America and will feature FIFA President Gianni Infantino presenting a new award.
Friday's drawing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., will feature all sorts of pomp and glam, including an appearance by President Donald Trump.
Trump is set to play a starring role in the drawing, having worked closely with FIFA President Gianni Infantino to move the draw to the Kennedy Center after it was speculated to take place in Las Vegas.
FIFA may also honor the president even further by awarding him a newly created peace prize.
