Popeyes is settling its lawsuit against the operator of at least seven Iowa restaurants , ending a months-long dispute over locations the company said were running without franchise approval and requiring the stores to be sold.
The settlement was filed Monday, Dec. 1, in federal court in Florida and the case was dismissed Wednesday, Dec. 3. The agreement keeps the restaurants open under a temporary license until June 30, 2026, while Jam Equities, the Chicago-based operator, prepares to close and sell all seven locations to buyers approved by Popeyes.
