A festive weekend starts in Darlington tonight with the arrival of the first of two Christmas Markets in the town.

Between 6pm and 9pm tonight (December 5) Darlington Arena will play host to the first Christmas market.

On Saturday and Sunday, a separate Christmas Market, organised by Darlington Borough Council, will be based in the Market Hall and Open Market between 10am and 4pm.

Tonight's Christmas Markets will be held at Darlington Arena, on Neasham Road, DL2 1DL.

The separate Darlington Borough Council Markets will be held in the Darlington Market Hall and Open Market.
