GameStop is trying something new this year. The company says it will hold a special event called “Trade Anything Day” on Saturday, Dec. 6. On that day, customers can bring in almost any item to get store credit.

GameStop said this is the first time people can trade in things other than video games , consoles, and collectibles. Items must follow store rules and meet certain size limits.

Anyone who trades something in will get at least a $5 trade card. They can use it right away or save it for later. If someone brings in a normal trade-in item, like a game or a console, it will be checked the usual way.
