MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A man who allegedly smashed a family's car windshield during a road rage incident on Thursday has been ordered to be held on preventative detention.

Police received multiple calls from witnesses around 6:30 p.m. Thursday saying a man, who was later identified as Anthony Rovelo, 21, smashed the windshield of another vehicle with a baseball bat in the Rockingham Park Boulevard area.

Prosecutors said a mother and her two children were in the car at the time.

Rovelo is facing several felony charges, including kidnapping, reckless conduct and criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
