NORTH BEND, Neb. (KOLN) - One man was seriously injured and another was arrested after a stabbing in eastern Nebraska Thursday night.
At about 11:25 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Platte River Road and Pine Street in North Bend after receiving a 911 hang-up and a follow-up call.
North Bend Rescue responded and found a man with multiple stab wounds, according to deputies. The victim was first taken to Methodist Fremont Health, then flown to Omaha by medical helicopter because of his critical condition.
During the investigation, deputies identified 32-year-old Luis Calihua Tepole of North Bend as the suspect. Tepole was also taken to Methodist Fremont Health for treatment before being booked into the Dodge County Jail.
