Friday morning marked a chilly, celebratory send-off for a red-hot Avonworth football team as it heads to the state championship game in Cumberland Valley.

"It takes a village, and these parents and the students and the community is just spectacular," said head coach Duke Johncour.
The Antelopes are back-to-back WPIAL champions after defeating Imani Christian in the championship game last month at Acrisure Stadium.
