The BBC has broken its silence after Question Time viewers spotted an asylum seeker in the audience wearing an “earpiece”. Last night’s episode (December 4) was an immigration special taking place in Dover, which invited numerous audience members who arrived in the UK illegally via small boat. When Reform UK MP Richard Tice first spotted one of them wearing a “headset”, he took to X with scathing comments.
Tice wrote: “Did BBC QT give headset and coaching to this Channel illegal migrant? He then has the cheek to tell us, British taxpayers, that we must not leave the ECHR… could not make it up.” Tice wasn’t the only one echoing the sentiment, as another X user tweeted: “The man read pre-made statements from his phone and can clearly be seen with an earpiece in.
