SAGINAW, MI — A Hemlock-area man has been charged with three felonies for allegedly opening fire on a police vehicle with an assault rifle.
Noal L. Bailey, 53, on Friday, Dec. 5, appeared before Saginaw County District Judge M. Randall Jurrens for arraignment on single counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearm, and assaulting, resisting, or obstructing police.
Prosecutors allege an emotionally unstable Bailey spent the days leading up to Tuesday, Dec. 2, drinking copious amounts of alcohol. Late Tuesday afternoon, an intoxicated Bailey began throwing around items inside his family home in the 4200 block of Fordney Road in Richland Township, prosecutors allege.
