The FBI has filed charges against a York man, accusing him of coercing a 13-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl into sending sexual photos and videos of themselves.

A federal grand jury indicted 21-year-old Josiah Peek on charges of attempted production of child pornography, attempted coercion and enticement of a minor and destruction of evidence in a federal investigation.

Peek, posing as a 14-year-old named Omar, convinced a 13-year-old girl from Columbus, Ga., to send him sexual photos and videos for his sexual gratification in July 2024, according to an affidavit filed by the FBI.

The girl told police she met Omar through Snapchat, an app for sharing photos and text messages. Her mother reported the incident to police after seeing the conversations.
