We only need just under six inches of new snow to surpass last winter's total snowfall. There's a decent chance that we achieve that by the end of next week, barely halfway through December.
After a few Friday evening flurries, Saturday looks to be a mostly sunny day with highs in the 20s. Clouds will fill in later in the day ahead of the first of multiple snow systems set to bring repeated rounds of wintry weather and associated travel impacts.
This weekend's system looks to come in around midnight Saturday night and last through about 6 a.m. Sunday. In that limited time, 1-3" of snow is expected, with the higher amounts the farther west you go. Slick roads are looking likely for Sunday morning.
After a bitter cold night Sunday night, our next waves of snow look to come in Monday night
