South Carolina health officials reported eight new measles cases this week, prompting additional school quarantines.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Health, there have been eight new cases of measles in the state since Tuesday, Dec. 2. That brings the total number of cases in the Upstate measles outbreak to 84.
The DPH said seven of the eight cases are household members of known cases. The source of the eighth case is still being investigated.
