Brockville police on Thursday arrested and charged a man in connection with a series of assaults and death threats.
Officers responded “to a series of alarming incidents involving a male subject who threatened and assaulted staff members at two local businesses,” police said Friday.

They found that a 44-year-old male suspect entered the Staples store on Parkedale Avenue at about noon, where he stole a space heater and threatened to kill a staff member.
A short time later, the suspect went to the Lanark Leeds Grenville Addictions and Mental Health location on Front Avenue, “where the situation escalated dramatically,” said police.
The man assaulted a staff member by grabbing them and shoving them twice, threw an energy drink at their head, and made further threats to
