WACO, Texas (KBTX) - Huntsville Alpha Omega Academy are the TAPPS six-man Division II State Champions after defeating Covenant Classical 101-56 on Thursday night. It is the first state title in the Lion’s school history. Here is a game run down:
Why did Alpha Omega win? The Lions offense tallied 800 total yards and 12 touchdowns in their 45-point mercy-rule victory over the Cavilers.
Standout performance: Alpha Omega’s sophomore quarterback, Case Collum, had a hand in all 12 touchdowns and threw for 615 yards on the night.
Collum passing to junior wide receiver, Hudson Ramey, was the duo we heard all game on Thursday. Ramey finishing the title game with 6 touchdowns and 373 yards on 16 receptions.
