Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert as they search for a missing Long Island man who left his home and has not been seen since. 

According to police, 71-year-old Ricci Esposito of Holbrook, who suffers from bipolar schizophrenia, walked away from his residence at 1298 Coates Ave. sometime between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4. 

Esposito is described as white, 6-foot-3, about 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he walks with a limp. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, burgundy thermal shirt, blue jeans, and brown boots. 

Detectives are urging anyone who may have seen Esposito or has information about his whereabouts to call 911 or the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
