SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) — A man is in stable condition after he was stabbed by a woman with a pair of scissors in a domestic violence incident, police said.

Sun Prairie police officers were investigating a crash on Friday on Park Circle near Hwy. 151 when a man approached them and said he was stabbed at a nearby apartment, according to Lt. Ray Thomson.

The officer requested EMS and moved the man to a safe location for treatment. The man was later taken to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition, Thomson reported.

Additional officers went to the apartment building and contacted the woman involved.

Maria Antone, 28, of Sun Prairie, was taken into custody without incident, Thomson said.
